This page was constructed to help with the awareness of horse rescue groups. We are hoping to list all not-for-profit rescue groups Australia wide, as an easy access for people concerned about horse welfare.
These groups do amazing work on limited resources and rely on the generousity of the general public to rally behind them, and all for the love and well-being of the horses in their care.

Aussie HorsEbay would like to show their support for these fantastic groups by running auctions as a fundraiser. Auctions will be a variety of sponsored 'prizes', with bidding starting at an incredible $1. The winning bidder will forward the money to the sponsor inclucing postage (if applicable), who will forward the money on to the charity they are raising money for and then post the 'prize'. It works just like a regular auction, except that the money is not retained by the seller - it is forwarded to charity.
Once the charity has recieved the money, they will confirm this to Aussie HorsEbay, who will make a note of it on our 'MONEY RAISED' page. On this page we will keep record of the money that has been raised for charity. Clearly recording who the money went to, what amount, for what item and when.
This is not a competition but an auction, with the money going to help keep these groups going.

About: We care for farmers and their families as well as abused, neglected, unwanted and drought, cyclone, fire, and flood horses. We are sponsored and supported by names such as Blundstone, Yakka, Glynnis Barrey and Australia Zoo.
Horse Welfare Inc

About: Horse welfare Inc was formed to support and co-ordinate the rehabilitation and rehousing of horses in Australia. Horses who may have been neglected, left behind, forgotten, mistreated or simply unable to be cared for by their owners.
Not all of these horses come from homes where they were not loved. In fact, a large percentage of horses in the current climate are victims of drought or flooding in parts of our country. Their families are suffering, livelihoods are being threatened and the horses are simply victims passed on by regretful owners. Others come from homes where their owners were simply not educated appropriately in the care or management of horses. And sadly, some do come from backgrounds of complete neglect.
